A strong writer, thorough editor and organized communications specialist who thinks and acts strategically, forging links between people, initiatives and ideas to further organizational goals. Mary Lou is accustomed to handling multiple priorities effectively in fast-paced, sometimes crisis-driven workplaces.

She has created communications plans, web-based and hard-copy materials to support complex initiatives requiring behavioural change; developed methodology, content, delivery mechanisms and final reports from Web-enabled surveys, interviews and focus groups to determine personnel perceptions and requirements; and coordinated product launches and promotional events showcasing IM/IT initiatives and products.

She has also created and managed production of annual reports, corporate profiles, newsletters, presentations, speaking notes, Treasury Board reports, systems audit reports, training manuals, help files, and online user guides.

Mary Lou holds an MA from Carleton University with a specialisation in post-modern analysis of historic and cultural texts. She received the Wilgar Memorial Award in 1995 for excellence in English writing.
