Sheilagh D'Arcy McGee
Sheilagh knows television in ways that reach far beyond the needs of the hourly or nightly news. She has produced current affairs stories, series, specials and documentaries, many of which have won major awards in Canada and the United States.
For CBC Television, she served as series producer and senior producer for Marketplace and Venture, and has researched for the Fifth Estate. Sheilagh has also produced and edited non-fiction shows and series for U.S. networks, including PBS, A&E, and The History Network. As Senior Vice President for Programming and Executive Editor, she developed and managed Court TV.
She has also co-produced several award-winning films in seven years such as Les Canadiens (CBC and Radio Canada); The Boys on the Bus (CBC, TSN and ESPN); Hockey Night in Hollywood (CTV); Strangers in a Strange Land (CBC and Discovery) and Pas de Deux (CBC).
Awards won include the Gold Award at the Houston International Film Festival, the Silver Hugo at the Chicago International Film Festival, and two Geminis.
